Red White Blue Marbled Brownies (Printable Version)

# What You Need:

→ Brownie Base

01 - 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
02 - 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
03 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar
04 - 1/4 cup brown sugar
05 - 2 large eggs
06 - 1 tsp vanilla extract
07 - 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
08 - 1/4 tsp salt

→ Cheesecake Swirl

09 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened
10 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
11 - 1 large egg yolk
12 - 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
13 - Red and blue gel food coloring

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
02 - In a saucepan, melt butter and chocolate over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat. Whisk in sugars, then eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour and salt until just combined. Pour into prepared pan.
03 - In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth. Divide cheesecake mixture into three portions. Tint one red and one blue with gel coloring, leaving the third plain.
04 - Drop spoonfuls of the red, white, and blue cheesecake over brownie batter. Swirl gently with a toothpick or skewer to create a marbled effect.
05 - Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
06 - Cool completely in the pan before slicing.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Use gel food coloring for bold, vibrant swirls without thinning the batter.
02 - Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
03 - For cleaner cuts, chill brownies before slicing with a hot, clean knife.
