01 -
Set the air fryer to 350°F and allow it to preheat.
02 -
On a lightly floured surface, unroll the pie crust dough and cut out 16 rectangles, each approximately 3 by 4 inches.
03 -
Arrange 8 rectangles on a parchment-lined tray. Place about 1 tablespoon of the selected filling in the center of each piece.
04 -
Slice the remaining 8 rectangles into thin strips to form the mummy-style wrappings.
05 -
Drape the dough strips over the filled bases, resembling mummy bandages, and leave space for eyes.
06 -
Press the edges together with a fork to seal the pies. Brush the surface with beaten egg for a golden finish.
07 -
Place assembled hand pies in the air fryer basket in batches. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the crust turns golden and crisp.
08 -
Allow hand pies to cool slightly. Attach two candy eyes or chocolate chips to each pie using a small amount of yogurt or icing.
09 -
Combine Greek yogurt with honey for sweet pies, or with herbs and salt for savory pies. Serve as a dip alongside the hand pies.
