01 -  In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. 
 02 -  Add the egg and vanilla extract; whisk until fully incorporated. 
 03 -  In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt. 
 04 -  Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. 
 05 -  Fold in chocolate chips and optional nuts. 
 06 -  Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Add the cookie dough to the skillet. Using a spatula, gently stir and scramble the dough as it cooks, breaking it into bite-sized pieces. 
 07 -  Cook for 3–5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the cookie pieces are golden on the outside but still soft inside. 
 08 -  Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving warm.
