Sausage Toast Rolls (Printable Version)

# What You Need:

01 - 8 pieces of bread (white or brown)
02 - 8 links of breakfast sausage
03 - 4 big eggs
04 - 1/2 cup milk
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
06 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon
07 - 1 tablespoon butter, for the pan
08 - Maple syrup, for topping
09 - Powdered sugar, for sprinkling (if you want)

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Follow the package directions to cook your breakfast sausage links. Set them off to the side when done.
02 - Cut off the crusts from your bread slices. Flatten each piece using a rolling pin.
03 - Grab a shallow bowl and beat the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon together until everything's mixed well.
04 - Lay out a flattened bread slice and put a sausage at one end. Roll it up tight and stick a toothpick in if it won't stay. Do this for all pieces.
05 - Heat up the butter in a pan on medium. Dunk each sausage roll in the egg mix until it's completely wet. Drop them in the pan and cook till they're golden all over, about 3-4 minutes. Take out any toothpicks.
06 - Pour maple syrup over the warm rolls and sprinkle some powdered sugar on top if you're feeling fancy.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Try turkey or veggie sausages instead if you want something lighter or meat-free.
02 - You can make these a day ahead and keep them in the fridge. Just warm them up in a pan or oven before eating.
