Louisiana-spiced fries finished with rich cheddar cheese sauce and ranch. Crispy, bold and loaded with flavor.

# The Ingredients You'll Need:

→ Fries & Seasoning

01 - 28–32 oz (800–900 g) frozen French fries
02 - 1 ½ teaspoons brown sugar
03 - ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
04 - ¼ teaspoon onion powder
05 - ¼ teaspoon chili powder
06 - ¼ teaspoon paprika
07 - ¼ teaspoon salt
08 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper
09 - 4 tablespoons ranch dressing, plus more for dipping

→ Cheese Sauce

10 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
11 - 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
12 - ⅔ cup (160 ml) whole milk
13 - 2 cups (200 g) medium cheddar cheese, freshly shredded

# Step-by-Step Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven according to the instructions on your frozen fries’ package. Line two baking sheets with foil and coat with nonstick cooking spray.
02 - In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
03 - Spread the frozen fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets. Sprinkle evenly with the seasoning blend, reserving about ½ teaspoon for topping later.
04 - Toss the fries to coat evenly. Bake according to the package instructions, rotating trays halfway through if needed, until fries are golden and crispy.
05 - In a medium skillet over medium-low heat, melt the butter.
06 - Whisk in the flour and cook for 1–2 minutes, whisking constantly, to form a roux.
07 - Slowly pour in the milk, whisking until smooth and fully combined.
08 - Simmer until slightly thickened, then gradually stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until fully melted and smooth. If the sauce becomes too thick, add a splash more milk. Reduce heat to low to keep warm.
09 - Layer a quarter of the fries onto a serving plate. Spoon over ¼ of the cheese sauce. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon ranch dressing and sprinkle a pinch of the reserved seasoning on top, if desired.
10 - Repeat with the remaining fries, cheese sauce, and ranch for the other servings.
11 - Serve immediately with extra ranch, cheese sauce, or ketchup on the side for dipping.
