10 - ½ tsp lemon juice

# Step-by-Step Instructions:

# Additional Tips::

01 -
  • Uses simple pantry ingredients you can find almost anywhere
  • Naturally gluten free and perfect for those avoiding wheat
  • Make ahead friendly because they keep fresh for several weeks
  • These cookies are the ones my family always requests for our holiday cookie swap since the glaze sets beautifully and the texture is wonderfully crisp and chewy at the same time
02 -
  • Rich in almond protein and naturally gluten free
  • Each cookie has a light crisp exterior with a gently chewy center
  • Perfect for making ahead since they stay fresh for weeks
  • The best part in my opinion is working the dough with my kids using the star cutter and brushing on the icing together. It is a holiday activity we look forward to every year and the smell of cinnamon always makes the house feel cozy
03 -
  • Work quickly with the dough if your kitchen is warm as sticky dough is tricky but manageable if chilled
  • Use a thin palette knife to move cut cookies to the baking sheet intact
  • Do not overbake or let them brown. The glaze should stay a pure white and the cookies soft inside
