01 -
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 -
Peel the bananas and slice into 1 cm thick rounds. Arrange the slices on the prepared baking sheet.
03 -
Top each banana slice with a small dollop (about ½ tsp) of peanut butter, if desired.
04 -
Place the baking sheet in the freezer for 30 minutes until the banana slices are firm.
05 -
Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments, stirring between each, until smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler.
06 -
Remove the banana slices from the freezer. Using a fork or toothpick, dip each slice into the melted chocolate, coating completely. Let excess chocolate drip off.
07 -
Return chocolate-coated banana slices to the baking sheet. If desired, immediately sprinkle with crushed nuts, coconut, or sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
08 -
Freeze for at least 1½ hours or until completely firm.
09 -
Serve frozen. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
