- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange cherry tomatoes in a large baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil, then add minced garlic, sea salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired. Toss vegetables to coat evenly.
- Position the Boursin cheese round at the center of the tomato mixture.
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, until tomatoes are blistered and Boursin cheese is golden and softened.
- Meanwhile, cook the dried pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water according to package directions until al dente. Reserve approximately 1/3 cup (100 ml) pasta water, then drain pasta using a colander.
- Remove baking dish from oven. Stir roasted tomatoes and softened Boursin cheese together with a mixing spoon to form a creamy sauce.
- Add cooked pasta and reserved pasta water to the baking dish. Gently toss with the sauce until all pasta is evenly coated.
- Incorporate chopped basil and adjust seasoning after tasting if necessary.
- Serve immediately, garnished with extra basil.
