01 -  Lightly grease a baking dish to prevent sticking. 
 02 -  Arrange half of the potato slices in an even layer in the prepared dish. Spoon half of the Alfredo sauce over the potatoes, spreading to coat evenly. 
 03 -  Sprinkle half of the garlic powder and half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the layered potatoes. 
 04 -  Repeat the layering process with the remaining potatoes, Alfredo sauce, garlic powder, and cheddar cheese. 
 05 -  Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 40 minutes, until the surface is golden and the sauce is bubbling. 
 06 -  Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
