One-Pan Garlic Shrimp Asparagus (Printable Version)

# What You Need:

→ Seafood

01 - 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

→ Vegetables

02 - 1 lb (450 g) asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
03 - 2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
04 - 3 cloves garlic, minced

→ Seasonings & Extras

05 - 1/2 tsp salt
06 - 1/4 tsp black pepper
07 - 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
08 - Zest and juice of 1 lemon
09 - 2 tbsp (8 g) fresh parsley, chopped

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the asparagus and sauté for 3–4 minutes, until just tender and bright green. Transfer asparagus to a plate and set aside.
02 - Add remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil to the skillet. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds, stirring constantly until fragrant.
03 - Add shrimp, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for 2 minutes per side until shrimp turn pink and opaque.
04 - Return asparagus to the skillet. Add lemon zest and juice, tossing everything together for 1–2 minutes to combine and heat through.
05 - Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine when adding the garlic.
02 - Serve with cauliflower rice or quinoa for a more filling meal.
03 - Substitute green beans or snap peas for asparagus if desired.
